Lunatics FC - Patriots 1-2

Despite good football (considering the strong wind) and the will to win Lunatics FC were not able to become champions. An early goal from Patriots woke us up after , for at least some of us, a heavy party night. A goal from Adri brought us back in the running for the free beer and Gilsboys virtual champion for a while. The match stayed exciting and there were good opportunities on both sides. Finally Patriots found their way to the goal somewhere in the second half. 1-2 it remained and Patriots Champion. Cheers. No man over board for Lunatics FC off course. With a full agenda of events, tournaments and parties it will be again a pleasant and hot summer of love and football. Besides, are there other teams in the leaque hosting a museum and having their own brand of Cava? Nuff said, Lunatics FC plays the way they drink. With bubbles!!!!!!

Sat 1 April Lunatics FC - Patriots 16:00

If you win the title on the 1st of April, who's going to believe that anyway. Match of no importance, big importance, whatever happens it will be only a footnote in the rich history of Lunatics FC. Thing is that there's still a gap to be filled in the new museum and a trophy will fit there very well. So if you listen good and carefully, you can hear the Lion already wakening. .........You heard him? Frightening, not????!!!!!!
Good luck to anyone involved in this competition, and thanks to all the other teams to keep it thrilling until the end. I think we'll definitely have a party saturday. So, come and joint us, if you like.

Fri 31 March Official 0pening Lunatics FC Museum

After a very long period of construction works, the Lunatics FC museum will finally be reopened. This occassion will be celebrated with a full cava/champieter reception sponsored by the generous but steadily slinking Lunatics budget. Considering earlier Lunatics celebrations like this, the chance that this might end up in a collective delirium is not imaginary. If this might help us to win the topper the day after is another pair of sleeves.

VYCA - Lunatics FC 2 - 0

Both teams on top decided to keep the competition exciting. Next week Lunatics FC and Patriots will compete for the championship during the last match of the season. In other words, the interest of Norhtern-Antwerp Polderpetat Topper, that was postponed because of bad weather, stayed intact.

Sat. 25/03 VYCA - Lunatics FC 13:00

13u spelen, 12u15 verzamelen… ‘k Zen wer be Eddy Maarks Oem ne nieve vlauw gewist. Volstaat dat als wegbeschrijving, of toch maar een beetje duidelijker? Laagland/Tuinwijk, daar moeten we zijn en dat is in Merksem. Niet waar we tegen Laagland hebben gesjot, maar wel tegen, u raadt het al, Pimpernel, allez dat denken we toch. Vanboven aan de brug dus. Allez, in ’t boekske van ’t verbond staat “de brug over de autostrade nemen… vlak na de brug eerste straat links nemen en het terrein ligt aan de rechterkant” en bij Gilsboys schrijven ze “de brug over de autostrade nemen… terreinen liggen 200m verder aan de linkerkant”. Dus gaan we ervan uit dat “vlak na de brug” dichterbij is dan “200m verder”. Dus… als je van Merksem komt, is het net voor de top van de brug naar rechts en als je van Ekeren komt, is het
net over de top van de brug naar links. Allez, als je van Merksem komt en je rijdt via de Luchtbal en den Eeckerschensteenweg … maar dat weet je ondertussen al. Zie maar da ge allemaal op tijd zijt. En geen uitvluchten van “but it’s the Anfield derby mate…”.

Still in the running for free beer after last weekend's victory against good old veterans of 't Paviljoen. Not a performance to be proud of but everyone happy after the final whistle.

Gilsboys - Lunatics FC 5-3

Aha, finally find the time to report this scandalous defeat against Gilsboys last weekend. Before we were well awake we were 4-1 down. We started somewhat better the second half but couldn't come closer to 4-3 and another counter attack of Gilboys made it a 5-3 final score. Good fun for the supporters and a nice third half victory made it another succeful lunaday. Also finally rid of that lead position. The pressure was to high for some lunatics, so it can only go better from now on (vanafnauw). The lion is seriously wounded ...

Sat 11 Gilsboys - Lunatics FC 14:30

Laagland/Seja, daar moeten we zijn en dat is in Merksem. Niet waar we tegen Pimpernel hebben gesjot, maar wel tegen, u raadt het al, Laagland, allez dat denken we toch, of zijn er daar vanonder aan de brug twee complexen? Vanonder aan de brug dus. Nee, niet van boven en dan vanonder maar gewoon vanonder. Als je van Merksem komt, is het voor de brug begint naar rechts en als je van Ekeren komt, is het net over de top van de brug naar
links. Allez, als je van Merksem komt en je rijdt via de Luchtbal en den Ekersesteenweg en de Veltwijcklaan en de Leerhoeklaan (oppassen voor de bloembakken) en de Prinshoeveweg en de Oude Landen en het Laar aan het asielcentrum rechts de brug op, kom je dus eigenlijk wel van Merksem maar toch van Ekeren, snapte? Allez, zie maar da ge allemaal op tijd zijt.

GEEN TRAINING VANAVOND
Maandagavond 6 maart 2006 is er geen training voor Luna's, Sjoekkolatters en andere sportliefhebbers er zal ook niet indoor getraind worden. Voorlopig zijn er ook nog geen andere activiteiten gepland. Allemaal dan maar ineens naar den artisjok zeker?

Marktkramers - Lunatics FC 1-5 (vriendschappelijk)

Al heel wat beter dan zaterdag. Typische maandagavondwedtrijd tegen marktkramers. Regenachtig, koud, toch nog een handvol supporters en blijven plakken. En lekkere tombolaprijzen.

Belle Vue - Lunatics FC 2-1 (Bekerwedstrijd)

Omdat er nog maar plaast is voor enen beker in het museum, hebben we Gaston Willems Cup maar gelaten voor wat het is. 't was gene vette tegen de jongens van het Scheldeland en niet de Rupelstreek. Alleen al met de grootte van hun fabrizes maakten ze ons belachelijk. Snel vergeten, die match, en volgend jaar beter.

Sat 25/02 15:00 Belle Vue - Lunatics FC

Als welgekomen afwisseling… een uitje in de beker. Die mannen spelen in ’t wit-groen gestreept en zullen als thuisploeg dus voor ander tenues moeten zorgen, mochten die van hun clashen met die van ons groen-rood gestreepte. Anders moet de Voorzitter die oude Hoegaarden- of Bakkerijgrondstoffen-shirts nog maar eens van onder het stof van zijn kamjonet halen, als ‘m nog eens komt natuurlijk want met zijn druk shagleven... Het is dus om 15 uur sjotten en wel op het terrein van AC Doregem in Bornem. Daar komen we bijeen om 14u15. Hoe geraken we daar? Wel via de rijksweg Willebroek – St.Niklaas (volgens ons best te bereiken via Boomsesteenweg A12, maar den E17 is ook een optie), daarop (op de ‘rijksweg’) de afslag Bornem-Centrum nemen (aan Nutricia), rechtdoor tot aan de kerk, daar linksaf slaan, de 2de straat rechtsaf nemen (Kloosterstraat), voorbij de Abdijkerk steeds rechtdoor (ongeveer 800 meter), terrein op uw linkerkant.

De nieuwe Forza zal vanaf vanavond te downloaden zijn. De link staat er al wel, maar er zit pas iets achter als Dejosse zijn werk heeft gedaan.

Sat 18/02 16:00 Lunatics FC - Patriots

Oftewel nummer 1 tegen nummer 2. Ziedaggerbaaize. Regelrechte, omkoopvrije en niet te missen Noord-Antwerpse poldertopper met een eerste tweede en derde helft. Gegarandeerd ambras en zever tijdens en na de wedstrijd bij de verliezende partij. Sex, drugs en rock 'n roll voor de winnaars. Astemblieft en dan hebben we het nog niet over den tombola gehad.

Nieuw Boechout B - Lunatics FC 1 - 2

Still on the lead after a very difficult victory againts Nieuw Boechout B. Another two goals from the lion king brought us in pole position for the topper next week against Patriots. Although the route discription was very confusing, more then 15 players and a bunch of supporters found their way to the former Schranshoeve, where the one with his klakske once ruled the waves for Entrepot Du Congo. No klakse to see this time, but instead good old still looking sharp Toppie was spotted among the Lunatics supporters. Further match comments more then welcome, because this one is to far with his head in the nappies to be inspired. Head in nappies? Belfast Belfast, rings a bell? Lunatics and nappies, should be something for the forza. Remember the time we've been kicked out Camping 't hoekske because we used nappies as goals. And next week we play against a team that wore nappies while we were already shaving beard. No offence no offence, lunatics supporters put your nappies on, some frizzle in the rizzle an give us a massive support next week.

Sat 11/02 14:00 Nieuw Boechout B - Lunatics FC

14 uur spelen, 13u15 verzamelen in de kantine aldaar en raar maar waar… de kantine van Nieuw Boechout… ligt in Boechout. Maar eerst moeten we naar Borsbeek centrum waar er lichten zijn. Aan die lichten moeten we richting Boechout nemen. Voorbij aan Berco (de pluimveeslachterij) en ongeveer 500 meter verder links naast de hoeve de Spokenhofstraat inslaan. En dan maar blijven volgen tot je de terreinen zou moeten zien liggen achter de tennisterreinen en tennishal Van Langendonck.
Wie van Mortsel komt, rijdt richting Lier tot over de brug in Boechout. Aan de lichten sla je links af en die baan blijf je volgen tot aan de 1ste rechts (de Spokenhofstraat) en dan rij je verder zoals hierboven staat als je vanuit Borsbeek komt.
Ze vragen uitdrukkelijk om uw voertuig te parkeren achter het chalet van Nieuw Boechout en niet aan de tennishal.
Volgens ons is dit het oude terrein of complex dat vroeger “Schranshoeve” heette, maar zeker zijn we niet – dat zullen de vrienden met Katholieke sportervaring wel weten – en toch vragen we ons af of Doktor Heinrich hier ooit eens geen spuit in ’t gat van Schwarzenbeck heeft gezet… Of verwarren we Schranshoeve met Duboco? Wie zal ’t zeggen?

Lunatics FC - AC De Heide 6-1

As outsider looking at this score, I would say, a typical 'gokchinees' result, especially regarding the other strange results and performances by Lunatics FC of last weeks. But this what happened last week in the eyes of the lion king.

ja, it is me again. This is just to keep my promise on what I told you a week ago a bout the sleeping lions remember? just wanted to let you know what happened then I will leave you alone. It went like this: Hell broke loose in the 'Leugenberg jungle' when mean looking tight assed wounded lions subdued their prey AC DE Heide with a clear 6-1 win in a fast paced brawl. The 10 man De heide put up a good resistance enough to enable then sneak one past lion Blauwers(usual suspect) but eventually crambled under the weight of the wounded lions. Lion sammy put the herd a head with two quick goals, a goal from each foot. Lions Kris, Dirk De Schutter and Robin put their mark with a goal each. Lion Nico, who replaced the missing in action lion king, wound up the ceremony with a last minute winning goal. The refereee couldnt have it any more, enough was enough. The hunting goes on....
So, what are they going to do come next saturday, I dont know, nobody knows. All I can advice you is avoid the jungle and if you cannot run fast enough, STAY AT HOME.
