RW Oberhausen vs Sankt-Pauli

Ik ben zo vrij geweest om het volgende naar Claire (aka Blue van Republica) te sturen:

"Hi Blue,

These summer tournaments are so good I wish we could do more of them (in which case we might be better of applying for a liver transplant ;o). Seriously, as I might have mentioned a couple of times in November: it's always good to see people from other teams, also when there is no tournament around.
And as I discussed (for sure) with Dave Curry and (probably) a few other people, one night in Leeds while we were over for our visit: I'm sure the Lunatics would be honoured to invite the Republica branch of Sankt Pauli supporters once again in 2009. Whenever they play "anywhere near Belgium" there's interest among the Lunies to go and see them, and the first one up this year is scheduled for Friday 13 of February, 6 pm kick-off. It's a game in Oberhausen, about a good 2 hour drive from Antwerp.

I still have to discuss this with my fellow Lunatics but I'm quite sure they won't disagree when I suggest this:

Friday: leave early afternoon to Oberhausen. With cars and/or minibus(es). K.O. at 6 pm. We can be back in Antwerp about 11 pm. Party optional…
Saturday: Lunatics have a home game at 4 pm against Bar du Port. Party afterwards mandatory ;o)
Sunday: whatever you want… if there are enough people coming over, we might organise a friendly; or maybe you'll be making your way back to Leeds.

Accommodation should not be a problem, as there are plenty of Lunatics living in or near Antwerp. Of course, if people would prefer staying in a hotel, we can arrange that as well, but to be honest, I think there will be enough rooms in various houses.

I'd say: can you suggest this to the Republican people who might be interested? I'm sure Mick and Helen, Dave Curry, Nige, yourself and a few others have told me before they would be up for something like this, and I've seen so many St Pauli hats at the party on Friday night (bonfire) that I lost count…

Hopefully we can make this happen. There's another one in March, I think in Aachen, but the date's not yet confirmed.

Ik heb al nen halve dag verlof kunnen scoren op het werk, dus ga zeker kijken. Ik zal de rest wel op de hoogte houden van eventueel bezoek Republica. Als dit doorgaat, wil iemand dan een van de komende zaterdagen de kantine van het Wimmeke-Damsstadion afhuren voor een feessie op 14 februari? En als het niet in de kantine kan, dan maar ergens anders zou ik zeggen.

PS: voor wie nog nooit naar Sankt-Pauli is gaan zien: denk aan een Motörhead-concert en je komt in de buurt.
